Times ARE Tough...

Its amazing how we take for granted things like "The economy isnt so great right now." Like so many other people who over looked that one little statement....we did too. But now that little statement means so much more to us. As of Friday, February the 27th 2009 Cody has been laid off due to the economy. In a couple of weeks we have to pack up everything here in Waco and move back to Houston. The life we've made here, the job i have aquired, the job i love, I have to give it all up. It was a total shocker when Cody came home today and told me he was being laid off. It was definately the last thing I expected. I was shocked and disappointed when he first told me but the more we think about it and the more i see how unphased Cody is by it, the more i think its a blessing in disguise. I say blessing because I know that God knows what he's doing for our future and he's taking care of us. We completely trust him with our future no matter what it brings and we both know that as long as we keep putting God first in our lives that he is going to provide for us. But its also a blessing because we both have always wanted to live near home where our families are. We never expected that we would be moved around as much as we have these last couple years and it has taken a hard toll on us both. Me more so than Cody because i am a complete mama's girl but its been hard on both of us being so far away from our families so much. All i can think is that God must have something big in store for us, something better. So rather than look at this as a negative thing we are both looking through optimistic eyes and keeping our hearts and minds open to whatever it is that God has in store for us. We will make it because our future lies in Gods hands, the best place it could be. Of course we are disappointed that Cody has lost the job that he has loved for more than two years but new opportunities will present themselves and we will grab them as they come and deal with whatever comes, in whatever way we can. Please please please, everyone who reads this be praying for us. Thanks for your support!
